Sorry, this item has sold.

Add a touch of Scottish tradition to your next look with this fantastic signed faux talon brooch!

This piece was made by “Reed Designs” during the mid century and is constructed from costume metals with a citrine rhinestone.

Traditionally in Scottish culture, a taxidermy grouse talon was worn for good luck on a hunt. This piece would look great pinned to a wool or tweed coat, a hat, kilt, or scarf.

The brooch has a mix of silver and gold tones and has wonderful textured details to depict feathers. It measures 2.5 inches long by 1.25 inches wide, and it closes in the back with a simple clasp.

Aside from some very minor scuffs that show its age, this piece is in excellent vintage condition, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
