1970s Gunne Sax Striped Boho Maxi Prairie Dress size XS/S

Channel your inner bohemian goddess in this stunning Gunne Sax maxi dress!

This dress was made by hand during the late 1970s. It is nicely constructed from a lightweight non-stretch cotton fabric, with a silk-feel polyester lining. There is no size indicated because the previous owner cut out the tag, but it would best fit a modern size extra small/small. (Clipped to model in photos.) It runs small throughout the bodice, please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

This dress has some truly gorgeous design details! The lace-up bodice is adorned with floral embroidered trim, satin ribbon, and lace that create a nice visual contrast against the elongating vertical stripes. There is even a lace and satin ribbon trim ruffle at the bottom of the skirt! The dress closes up the back with a 15 inch zipper, and ties at the back waist.

Please note that there is a tiny brown spot on the mid-lower section of the back skirt (see close-up photo), but it is hardly noticeable unless you’re really looking for it. Overall, this dress is in very good vintage condition. I was stored in a smoke-free home and it is clean and ready to wear.
