This ring was created by Richard Bitterman, a self taught artist from Chicago. He lived from 1930-2012 creating jewelry and sculpures that involved salvaged, non-precious mixed metals. This piece is likely one of his Brutalist designs from the 1970s and is signed by the artist. The band is made of 10 karat gold and is approx a size 4.5
The sculpture measures approximately 1.5 x 2.5 inches long. The shape of this ring is really up for interpretation, but to me....it resembles a grasshopper carrying the weight of the world.
This ring is in great condition and would make a wonderful gift, could be used for Cosplay, or a unique addition to your collection!
