1950s Gold Lovers Cameo Victorian Revival Solid Perfume Locket Pendant

This beautiful Victorian revival solid perfume locket would make a lovely gift!

The pendant was made in the 1950s and is made from very high quality costume materials. You can feel the quality in the weight of it. This pendant was intended to hold solid perfume, however it does not appear to have been used for that purpose.

This locket depicts two young lovers gazing into one another's eyes on a Summer day. The picture appears to be painted glass that is set into the locket and surrounded by pretty gold scalloping. The back side is a raised textured sunburst design that gives it sort of an art deco feel. The pendant measures 1 and 1/4 inches across.

The pendant opens up to reveal a 3/8 of an inch deep compartment. It could be used to store perfume, lip balm, essential oils, a photo, etc. Please note that the seal when the pendant is clasped is not strong enough to the point where you would want to store anything too precious that might fall out.

There is a bit of wear as you can see in the photos, but it gives it great character. Over all this item is in good vintage condition and could be a fun little project!
