This timeless beaded necklace will match countless outfits for years to come!
The necklace was made during the 1950s. The beads are mainly made of glass, with a few other materials mixed throughout the strand.
The necklace is made up of one long single strand that measures 29 inches long when laid out flat. It can be looped around the neck for a shorter multi-strand look if desired.
There are ten types of beads on this necklace. Each type of bead varies in size and shape. Some of the larger beads are reflective crystal, while some are made of milky glass. The colors range from honey gold, to ivory, to taupe, marbled white, brown, and a brownish-purple. Lots of the beads really sparkle in person, the photos don't do them justice! There are also some metal flower filigree beads that add a nice variety of texture as well.
The necklace has a brass spring hook closure that is easy to use, however the strand is nice and long, so you may never need to use the clasp. The strand has been repaired (area connecting to the clasp, see photos) so it is nice and strong. Over all this item is in very good vintage condition. The neutral tones make it easy to pair with several looks, while the texture and shine make it a stand out piece suitable for every day life!
