The buckle was made in the USA in 1984 by Siskiyou Buckle Co., Inc. It is made of solid cast pewter. You can feel the quality of the buckle by it's heavy weight. It would make an excellent gift!
The buckle is rectangular in shape and measures 2.25 inches tall, by 3 inches wide. The image on the front depicts several images that represent Tennessee's finest. Look closely and you will find a country hunter and his cabin, a fiddle and banjo, and a man riding a horse into the woods. The details are clear and striking, not worn or rubbed down at all.
The back side of the buckle is also very detailed. The buckle is stamped with the manufacturer's emblem and the year it was made. Even the peg that goes into the belt hole is in the shape of a moose head!
Aside from some minimal signs of age, this buckle is in very good vintage condition. It does not have any rust, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
