The necklace is made of brass and abalone shell. It best fits up to a 13 inch neck.
The pearly abalone shell inlays graduate from largest in the front center and get smaller as they go up and around the neck. The repeating shapes give it an art deco vibe, while the fitted choker style gives it a kind of tribal feel as well. It would look amazing paired with a boho style maxi dress, or could even be used as part of a costume!
The mother of pearl inlays constrast nicely against the shiny brass. The widest part of the necklace measures 1 and 1/8 inches wide. The brass does not bend, please be sure to compare the neck measurement to guarantee fit.
Please note that there is a small imperfection on the edge of one of the shell pieces (see close up photo), but it is not very noticeable at a glance. Over all this piece is in good vintage condition, and was stored in a smoke-free environment.
