This fun vintage boho belt would look great paired with dresses, skirts, jeans...you name it!
The belt was made in Mexico during the 1970s. It is constructed from genuine leather, brass, and horn. There is no size indicated, but it will fit up to a 34 inch waist.
The belt itself measures 2.25 inches wide and 35 inches long. The leather is fairly soft and flexible, and nicely distressed. The leather is woven into a stylish design that also makes the belt adjustable. You can hook the buckle to any point on the belt, giving you the ability to wear this versatile belt at the natural waist, or around the hips.
The buckle is made of brass and measures 3.75 inches across. The outer edge of the buckle has an Mayan inspired embossed design, giving it an ethnic feel. The focal point of the buckle is a calico-tone medallion made of steer horn. The horn piece is trimmed with a metal roped border.
Please note that this belt does show it’s age a little bit. Most noticeably there is some discoloration on the brass buckle, but if you ask me, it gives it a unique patina and a whole lot of character! Over all this belt is in good vintage condition, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
