1970s Sterling Silver and Coral Sunburst Medallion Clip-On Earrings

These earrings were made during the early 1970s, likely orginating in Southern Arizona or New Mexico. They are made of sterling silver with red coral stones.
The earrings are circular in shape, and measure 5/8 of an inch wide. The design on the front consists of a small circular coral stone bordered by rope-like textured silver. Several coral stones are arranged around the center for a sunburst effect. The negative space in between each stone is just as beautiful, allowing the stones and silver to shine and grab your attention. The settings that the stones rest in have zig zag edges, adding even more visual interest to this beautiful pair of earrings.
The earrings have clip-on backings. The back side of the earrings are stamped “sterling” and are shiny and smooth. They are not so heavy that they are uncomfortable to wear, but you can see and feel the quality when you hold them in your hands.
These earrings are in great vintage condition and were stored in a smoke-free environment.
