RESERVED- 1960s Green Wool Pleated Joan Dress with Satin Trim Collar and 3/4 Length Sleeves size S/M

Be the picture of pinup perfection in this fabulous vintage dress!

This adorable dress was made during the early 1960s. It is a “Leslie Fay Original” and is constructed primarily from wool, with an acetate lining. There is no size indicated on the tag, but it would best fit modern US women’s sizes 6-8. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit. The dress is pinned to a size 4 mannequin to represent the shape of the dress.

The photos really can’t do this garment justice, it is sooooo cute in person. The color of the wool fabric is more green in person, it tends to photograph on the teal side. In real life it is a striking forest green that would be perfect for the holiday season.

The construction details on this dress are really lovely. The dress closes up the front with 3 fabric covered buttons, and hidden snaps at the collar and waist to keep the bodice secure. The bodice is fully lined and there are darts at the bust and waist to ensure a flattering fit.

The collar is trimmed with shiny green satin, and the slightly bell shaped sleeves give this dress a very mid-century look. The pleats of the skirt have kept their shape wonderfully over the years and there is also a matching 1 inch belt.

This garment is in excellent vintage condition. There are no stains, rips, or piling, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
