1970s Wood Beaded Boho Shoulder Purse with Long Strap and Gold Chain Hardware

This purse was made in Taiwan by “Gaymade” during the early 1970s. It is constructed from wooden beads and brass hardware with a canvas lining.

The exterior of this purse is decorated with beautiful smooth wooden beads that have been woven together. There are 3 decorative clusters on the front of the bag where the beads are slightly raised from the rest, adding a bit of extra visual interest to the design.

The body of this bag measures 11 inches wide by 8 inches tall. It is large enough to hold all of the daily essentials, and it has a nice long strap that hangs about 15 inches long. Shiny gold-tone chain details on the strap help with stability and make for a cute contrast in color and texture.

The bag opens and closes with a brass zipper that has a little beaded tassel attached to the zipper pull. The purse unzips to reveal a tan canvas lining that is is superb condition! There is an inside pocket ideal for holding cards or cash.

This accessory is in excellent vintage condition. There are no holes, tarnishing, stains or missing beads, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
