This fascinator was designed by Norman Durand during the 1940s. It is constructed from velvet, wire, and lace with sequins and beading. Please see measurements to guarantee fit.
The asymmetrical design of this fascinator is absolutely stunning when worn in person! The dramatic swirling details frame the face and hair and in a very flattering fashion. There is a swoop in the back that is perfect for cradling a ponytail or bun, taking your updo to the next level!
The wire frame makes this piece somewhat flexible, so you can mold it to fit the way you want. The underside is lined with a mesh lace. The top of the hat is adorned with intricate beading and sequins with organic velvet shapes accented throughout. Across the top, it measures 10 inches by 7.5 inches.
This piece is in excellent vintage condition. There are no stains, fading, or missing beads, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment. It would the perfect statement accessory for a dressy occasion, or could also be used as costume piece for theater or film!
