1980s Jessica’s Gunnies Burgundy Trim Ruffled Prairie Skirt size S

Complete your look with this fantastic vintage prairie skirt!

This skirt was made in the USA during the early1980’s by Jessica’s Gunnies. It is constructed from a lightweight, breathable fabric that is 50% cotton and 50% polyester. The skirt is marked as a vintage size 11 but it would best fit modern women’s US sizes 4-6. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

The classic floral pattern on this skirt is versatile enough to be worn in daily life, and it would also double as a wonderful cowgirl or pioneer-style costume! Small burgundy tulips against a cream background make up the all over pattern. Burgundy polka dot and plaid trim at the waist and ruffles create a nice visual contrast.

The skirt highlights the smallest part of the natural waist with a wide, peaked waistband. The garment closes up the back with a 9 inch zipper. The circle skirt adds some nice movement and drama when twirling on the square-dance floor!

Please note that there is a small yellowed spot on the front left hip of the skirt, but it is not very noticeable unless you look for it (see close up photos). Over all this garment is in good vintage condition and it has a lot of life left in it! There are no rips or piling, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
