This pair of earrings was made during the 1930s. They are made of transparent celluloid plastic with screw back backings- something you just don’t see anymore!
These earrings have an intaglio (reverse-carved) flower or sunburst design inside that displays a sunny array of colors. The design looks different from every angle, making these earrings really striking in person!
Each earring measures just under an inch wide, and they are lightweight and comfortable to wear. They have somehow managed to avoid the ravages of time and show very little signs of age. They are in very good vintage condition and were stored in a smoke-free environment.
