1960s 3pc Floral Swimsuit Set with Cover-up and Belt/Hair Scarf size M

This 3-piece bathing suit set is just the thing you need for your summer pin-up look!

This suit set was made in Hong Kong during the 1960s by “Sandcastle”. It is made from nylon with a mesh-lined bust. It is marked as a vintage size 14, but it would best fit modern women’s US sizes 6-8. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

The floral print on this set has a timeless, vibrant color palette of bold 1960s pink, orange, yellow, blue, teal,and violet. The matching set includes a one-piece swimsuit, a long sleeved cover-up, and a belt that could double as a hair scarf!

THE SWIMSUIT:
This suit has a very flattering silhouette with a peaked empire waistline, and a skirt that offers good coverage of the upper hips and backside. The fabric is 87% nylon and 17% spandex so it has some good stretch. There are molded cups (would best fit B to C cup sizes) and elastic at the bust. Square white plastic hardware decorates the straps- which are not adjustable, but could easily be shortened with a quick DIY stitch.
** This piece shows the most wear- there is some fading and some small brown specks on the front right abdomen area, and some yellowing on the lower back area. These areas are clearly shown in the photos and are super noticeable in person unless you look up close.

Measurements taken lying flat:
Bust- stretches 17-19 inches across.
Waist- stretches 13-14 inches across.
Hip- stretches 16-18 inches across.
Length from center front neck to hem- 19 inches long.

THE COVER-UP:
This garment looks like new! The fabric is 100% nylon and it closes at the neck with 2 small fabric covered buttons, allowing the rest of the top to flow free and open. The hemline lands around hip level. Please note that there are 2 very small yellow stains on the back right shoulder of the cover-up.

Measurements taken closed, lying flat:
Bust- 17 inches across.
Waist- 16 inches across.
Length- 29 inches long.
Sleeve length- 22 inches long.

THE BELT:
The simple 2 inch fabric belt can be tied at the waste over the suit and/or cover-up, but it also looks fabulous as a hair scarf!

Overall, these garments are in fair conditon and have a lot of life left in them! They have been cleaned and were stored in a smoke-free environment.

This set would make a great costume for TV, film, or theater, or is a great way to get that vintage look without spending a fortune!
