1960s Fall Floral Tapestry Purse with Lucite Top Handles

This beautiful vintage tapestry bag is just the thing you need to kick your Autumn style up a notch!

This purse was made during the 1960s by “Best & Co, Fifth Ave New York”.
The body of the bag measures 10.5 inches wide by 7 inches tall, and 3 inches deep. It’s the perfect size to hold all of the daily essentials without being so big that you can’t find anything inside!

The exterior of the bag has a lovely floral upholstered needlepoint tapestry design with a timeless fall color palette of orange, brown, brick red, green, muted magenta, and robin’s egg blue against a tan background. The orange tortoise handles are made of lucite and hang about 4.5 inches tall (making the total height of the bag 11 inches tall).

The purse opens up to reveal a tan lining. There is an inside zip pocket and an inside clamshell style pocket to hold smaller goods. Please note that the lining does show a little wear, primarily in the form of small pink marks from a pen or makeup. It is not noticeable at all from the outside, and is otherwise clean and totally usable.

Overall, this bag is in good vintage condition. The zippers work, there are no pulls or rips, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
