This beautiful New Old Stock skirt is sure to become one of your wardrobe favorites!
This skirt was made in the USA in 1951 by “College-Town Sportswear”. It has never been worn and still has the original tags attached! The skirt is constructed from lightweight non-stretch cotton with the cutest stamp themed novelty print! It is marked as a vintage size 10, but would best fit modern women’s US sizes 2-4. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.
This skirt is pleated and the hemline lands below the knee. There is a 1.5 inch waistband with little belt loops so you can pair it with your favorite belt. The skirt closes in the back with a 7 inch metal zipper, and secures with a clear plastic button.
The novelty print consists of several different atomic age postage emblems in a palette of orange, purple, black, and blue.
Please note that some of the pleating has flattened out from being stored for many decades, but this can be remedied with an iron and some TLC. There are also 2 areas on the waistband that have a black ink smudge. Because the print is so bold, these areas are not that noticeable (and could easily be covered with a belt).
Overall, this garment is in very good vintage condition and is waiting to be paired with your favorite cardigan! There are no rips and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
