1950s Lace Overlay Belted Wiggle Dress with Large Bow size M/L

Here’s the special little black dress you’ve been searching for!

This timeless dress was made during the 1950s. The shell is constructed from a lightweight, non-stretch, peach silk-feel acetate fabric with a stunning black lace overlay. The photos really don’t do it justice- it is truly magnificent in person!

There is no size indicated on this label-less beauty, but it would best fit modern women’s US sizes 8-10. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

The silhouette of this wiggle dress is very flattering on the female form and it has some beautiful construction details. The V neckline is slightly asymmetrical to highlight a large fabric diagonal bow at the bust. The natural waistline is accented by a matching detachable fabric covered belt. The pencil style skirt of the dress flares out from the knee to create a slight ruffle and make movement easier.

True to the fabrication methods of the time period, the dress closes up the side waist with a metal zipper, and there are no armholes.

If you look closely, the black lace overlay resembles a spider’s web, which contrasts beautifully against the shiny peach/orange fabric underneath. It’s not super obvious though, making this dress very versatile!

This garment is in excellent vintage condition with no stains, rips, snags, or piling, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
