1960s Rhinestone Oversized Glam Sunglasses with Purple Lenses

This pair of shades was made during the 1960s. They are likely constructed from lucite and acrylic, or another other high-end plastic, with large rhinestones and purple lenses. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

The oversized style of these spectacles is absolutely spectacular! The frames have a layered effect, with clear transparent in the front, and pearly white on the inside. Brass settings hold rows of colorful aurora borealis rhinestones across the top of the brim and along the sides.

The brim measures 6 inches across the top. The ear shafts are 5 inches long, and the lenses measure approximately 2 by 2.25 inches.

The lenses have a deep purple tint and hardly any wear! There is one small scratch on the inner left lens (see close-up photos) but it is not very noticeable or distracting. There is also some slightly bubbling of the glass on the upper outer right lens just below the brim. It does not disrupt your line of sight and is hardly noticeable unless you are really looking for it. This is a manufacturing defect and not a sign of wear.

Please note that the hinges are not stretched out, however they may require some tightening to suit your individual head size.

Overall, these glasses are in really great vintage condition, and they were stored in a smoke-free environment.
