Set out in style with this beautiful mid century basket purse!
This unique shaped basket purse was made in Hong Kong during the 1950s by “Grants”. It is constructed from woven reeds, genuine leather, and brass, with a linen lining.
The cylindrical body of the bag measures 10” x 5” x 5”. The purse has brown leather straps that hang 7 inches long, and little brass feet on the bottom. There is a turnkey style clasp that opens up to reveal a tan fabric lining with one interior pocket inside. It’s large enough to hold all of the daily essentials and then some!
Please note that there are a few condition issues due to age. In addition to some staining in the lining, there is a small area in one upper corner of the lining where it has come unattached from the frame. One of the straps is twisted as well, which could be fixed with a little TLC, you would just need to detach one side of the strap and reattach the little bracket after.
Overall, this purse is in wearable as-is condition and it has a lot of life left in it! It was stored in a smoke-free environment.
