1970s Silky Boho Blocked Scarf Dress with Handkerchief Hem size M/L

Live out those boho dreams in this spectacular vintage dress!
This dress was made in Hong Kong during the 1970s. It is beautifully constructed from a silk-feel polyester fabric. There is no size indicated, but it would best fit a modern size Medium/ Large. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

This dress has some truly amazing construction details- even the shoulder pads are beautifully pleated and come with shouder snaps for keeping your bra strap and neckline in place!

The blocking and placement of the different prints is very eyecatching in person. Florals, polka dots, and paisley bird prints -all in black and white- create a lot of visual interest. The fabric is bias cut so the drape on this beauty is really something. There is elastic at the waist and sleeve cuffs. A beautiful shoulder scarf cascades from the top right shoulder for a dramatic effect, and the handkerchief style hem creates lots of movement within the skirt. The bodice has a faux wrap design, and the neckline is adorned with a beaded tassel tie.

Please note that there is some slight yellowing of the fabric at the center bust where the fabric overlaps. It’s not very noticeable and could totally be worn as-is, but could probably be fixed up with a professional cleaning. Overall, this gorgeous garment is in very good vintage condition. There are no rips or pilling, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
