1970s Gunne Sax Cotton Burgundy Floral Corseted Full Length Prairie Dress size S

This dress was made during the 1970s by Gunne Sax. It is constructed from a lightweight breathable cotton fabric and would best fit a modern size Small. (Model is a size XS and is approximately 5’0”) Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

This lovely Gunne Sax dress has a pretty burgundy floral print, with velvet, satin, and lace trim. The front of the bodice is corseted with a lace-up design. The sleeves are a slightly sheer cotton gauze, and there is a ruffle at the hem. The dress ties in the back, making the fit slightly adjustable at the natural waist. It closes up the back with a long zipper.

Please note that the previous owner cut part of the original tag out 😭 but it is indeed authentic Gunne Sax. There is also some very slight staining at the underarm, but it is hardly noticeable unless you search for it (see close-up photos). Overall, this dress is in amazing vintage condition!

Waist- 13.5 inches across.
Hip- 25 inches across.
Narrowest part of back shoulder between armholes- 12 inches across.
Bodice length from center back neck to waist- 13 inches long.
Total length- 55 inches long.
Sleeve inseam length- 19 inches long.
