This brooch was designed by Kenneth Jay Lane sometime during the 1970s. It measures 3” x 1.25” and is adorned with several sparkling orange, yellow, and chocolate rhinestones against an antiqued finished setting. The pin is signed on the back and closes with a simple interlocking clasp.
Fun fact: Kenneth Jay Lane (KJL) was well known for creating spectacular creations of jewelry inspired by those worn by royalty in the 1960s. Jackie Kennedy herself wore commissioned re-creation pieces by him so that she could wear her fabulous jewelry in public while keeping her valuable jewels safely stored away. He created designs for icons like Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn, and even Britney Spears! KJL passed away in 2017, making his designs increasingly more valuable as time goes by.
