Antique Edwardian Roped Cummerbund Belt with Cutouts and Hook Clasps waist size 34”

Stand out from the crowd wearing this amazing antique cummerbund belt!
This belt is very old and was beautifully crafted by hand. It is constructed using a roped method, with lovely cutout designs and braided details. The belt is meant to be worn at the natural waist and it secures with 2 roped toggle hooks in the back.
It has no stretch, and would best fit a 34 inch waist.

The lining of this belt is also quite lovely and beautifully thought out. A copper-colored fabric with embroidered flowers lines the inside of the belt. The belt tapers in width, with the widest part in the center measuring 4.5 inches thick. This piece would look amazing paired with dresses, trousers, and skirts, but would also be a great period costume piece for TV/Film.

Please note that there is one loose bit of roped thread on the top/back/right portion of the belt (shown clearly in photos) but this could easily be fixed with a little stitch and some TLC. Otherwise this belt shows minimal signs of wear/age and is in good, wearable, vintage condition.
