1970s Handmade Daisy Gingham Country Cowgirl Ruffle Swing Dress size M

Swing your partner ‘round in this adorable vintage dress!
This handmade dress was made during the 1970s. It is constructed from a cotton fabric with a classic red/white gingham print that also has little daisies throughout and contrasting zigzag trim. There is no size indicated, but it would best fit a modern size medium. (Clipped to model in photos, please see measurements below to guarantee fit.)

This dress has some truly cute details such as ruffles at the hem, puff sleeves, and a pleated neckline. There are darts throughout the bodice for a flattering fit, and the dress closes up the back with a long zipper.

Please note the following quirks:
The elastic at the sleeve cuffs has lost some of its stretch. The bottom ruffle portion of the skirt is sewn on rather loosely and could easily be secured with a new stitch, or it could be removed to make the dress shorter. There is also a slightly yellowed area on the right sleeve (but not very noticeable unless you’re looking for it).

Overall, this garment is in good wearable vintage condition. With a little TLC it could be worn for daily life, or it would make a great costume!
