1960s Wool Sleeveless Maxi Dress with Jeweled Silver Trim size M

Spruce up your cold weather style with this fabulous vintage dress!

The dress was hand made during the 1960s. The fabric is made of medium weight black knit wool. There is no size indicated, but it would best fit modern sizes 6-8. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

The dress has nice structure to it, with darts at the bust, shoulder, and skirt waist for a flattering fit. There is three inches of extra seam allowance at the hem, so this dress could be let out in length if desired. It closes up the back with a 20 inch zipper with a hook and eye closure.

The silver trim adds sparkle and visual interest to the waistline and mandarin collar. The trim is only sewn to the dress on the top edge of the empire waistline to allow for easier movement. Pretty peach, blue, and faux pearl beaded jewels are sewn along the silver trim. There are also some little gold tone filigree beads sprinkled in along the trim as well.

Please note that the silver trim around the neckline has been repaired (see close up), but it is not very noticeable when worn. The stitching on the inside of the neckline is a little whackadoodle, but when you are wearing the dress, it will never be seen. There are no holes or stains, and this item was stored in a smoke-free home. Over all this garment is in good vintage condition and would be perfect for a party!
