These old fashioned spectacles are a great costume piece for theater, film, or Halloween!
The glasses are from the 1940s. The frames are made of steel wire, and the ear shafts are bound with a leather wrap for comfort.
The shape of the lenses on this pair is very unique. They are rounded along all eddges except for the inside by the nose bridge. There are no nose grips. The ear shafts are slightly bendable to fit your head more comfortably.
The brim of the frames measures 5.5 inches across. The ear shafts each measure 5 inches long and then start to curve downward. The lenses measure 2 inches tall, by 2 and 3/8 inches wide.
There is some slight scratching on the lenses, but it is hardly noticeable unless you inspect them very closely. The lenses will need to be replaced if you plan to use them for every day life. These glasses are in good vintage condition and would be ideal for a historical costume.
