Vintage 3pc Olive Green Floor Length Costume Dress with Apron and Cap size S/M

This lovely historical costume dress would look amazing on stage, on film, or for Halloween! The costume is made up of three pieces, a floor length gown, a floor length matching apron, and frilled cap.

The costume was handmade (likely during the 1970s) and is made of a medium weight non-stretch cotton fabric. There is no size indicated, but it would best fit modern US women's sizes 6-8. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

The dress is well constructed and has some really pretty details in the design. The dress is fitted at the natural waist and flares out from the hip. Princess seaming on the front bodice creates a nice silhouette, while pleating at the skirt waist adds extra volume and drama. The dress closes up the back with a 20 inch zipper with hook and eye closure. The 3/4 length bell sleeves cascade from the elbow. The sleeves have detachable fabric bows that are currently just pinned onto the sleeve and could be easily removed if desired. Cream colored lace trims the neckline, bodice, and sleeves.

The apron is floor length and lines up perfectly with the hem of the dress. The tie waistband is embroidered with little flowers and adds a nice contrast against the solid green fabric. The tie measures 46 inches long and can be tied into a long bow in the back.

The frilled cap is made of the same shell fabric, with a loose elastic sewn into the inside. It is roomy enough to fit all of one's hair inside the hat, or could be pinned to the hair more like a bonnet. The cap measures 9 inches across the top, and has a 3.5 inch peplum that is trimmed with the same ivory lace as the other garments.

There are no stains, piling, or tears. All three pieces are in excellent vintage condition and were stored in a smoke-free environment. This would be perfect for a production of "A Christmas Carol", an outstanding Renfaire costume, and so many other possibilities!
