1950s Frog Coil Spring Brooch on Filigree Lilly Pad with Pink Flower

This adorable and unique vintage brooch is sure to be a conversation starter!

The brooch was created during the late 1950s. It is made of brass and has a spring loop clasp.

The textures and small details on this brooch are quite lovely. The base of the brooch is an oval shaped brass lilly pad with pretty floral filigree. There is is small pink painted flower in the center for an extra bit of cuteness! A little jumping green frog is attached to the base with a wire coil. The coil allows the frog to move and wiggle with movement, making this a fun interactive piece of jewelry! It would be a great gift for the frog lover in your life, or could be a fabulous costume piece!

The lilly pad base measures 1 and 7/8 inches long, by 1 and 1/8 inches wide. The frog stands out from the base approximately 5/8 of an inch.

The shaft of the clasp is slightly bent (see close up photos of the back of the pin), but it still works just fine. Over all this item is in excellent vintage condition.
