Keep warm without sacrificing style in this vintage peacoat!
This coat was made by “Loring” during the 1960s, and was sold at Lorraines in historic St. Albans, Vermont. There is no size indicated on the tag, but it would best fit modern women’s sizes 14-16. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.
The coat is a deep navy blue color that could pass for black. The shell fabric of the garment is made of 75% Frostmann wool, and 25% Nylon. It is fully lined with an acetate lining. You can see and feel the high quality construction by the immaculate stitching and other fine details, such as the hanging chain on the inside of the collar.
The coat has two functional side hip pockets, and closes up the front with two rows of black anchor buttons. The sleeve cuffs are also decorated by these buttons. There are a couple of extra buttons sewn onto the inside of the jacket in case one is misplaced.
There is very little wear on this garment, it is in excellent vintage condition. There are no holes or stains, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
