This beautiful vintage purse is the perfect accessory for a picnic or music festival!
The purse was made in British Hong Kong during the 1960s. It is made primarily of woven basket materials, with leather straps and brass hardware.
The body of the bag is a woven basket that measures 6 inches tall by 9 inches wide. The base of the bag measures 5 inches by 9 inches. Little brass feet on the base of the basket allow the purse to stand up on it’s on.
The brown leather shoulder straps hang approximately 11 inches long. The straps have thick braiding around the edges, and leather fringe with blue and red beads that give off a Southwestern vibe. The leather is nicely distressed, giving it loads of character while remaining totally functional.
The basket opens and closes with a gold-tone brass turnkey clasp. The purse opens up clamshell-style to reveal an immaculate fabric lining that has a fun blue and brown geometrical print. The interior pocket in the lining closes with a metal zipper. The inside of the bag is large enough to hold all of the modern essentials...phone, wallet, keys, lipstick, and more!
Aside from some minimal signs of age that can be seen clearly in the photos, this handbag is in excellent vintage condition! There are no holes or stains, and it was stored in a smoke-free environement.
