1950s Navy Blue A-Line Dress with Shoulder Cutouts and Sheer Red Blocked Skirt Details size M

This sophisticated vintage cocktail dress will never go out of style!

The dress was made during the 1950s by Joyce Hubrite. There is no size indicated, but it would best fit modern women’s US sizes 8-10. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

The dress is made from a non-stretch satin-feel fabric. The color appears to be black at a glance, but under bright lights a navy blue hue shines through.
The timeless A-line silhouette of this dress looks great on the female form, showing off the smallest part of the waist and flaring out at the hip. Darts at the bust and waist ensure a flattering fit. The dress closes up the side waist with an 11 inch metal zipper.

One of the most beautiful parts of this dress is the detailing on the skirt!
The dress has a full circle skirt that looks great with a petticoat underneath (shown both with and without a petticoat in the photos). Along the bottom are velvet and sheer mesh blocked spaid-like cutouts that reveal the vibrant red lining underneath. These cutouts are breathtaking when the skirt moves, and would look absolutely beautiful on the dance floor!

The cutout designs continue throughout the neckline and on some lovely little cutout details on the shoulders that show off just the right amount of skin. This dress would be perfect for a pin-up photo shoot, a military ball, or really any dressy occasion!

Please note that there has been some small repairs on one of the underarms where a seam had come loose, but it is hardly noticeable, even if someone is looking directly at your armpit.
This garment is in excellent vintage condition and it was stored in a smoke free environment.
