1960s Mod Navy Sailor Tunic Mini Dress with Anchor Appliqué and Coil Rope Belt size L

The sea is calling you to wear this fabulous vintage nautical tunic!

This handmade garment was made during the 1960s. It could be worn as a tunic top, or could also be worn a mini dress, depending on your height. It is constructed from a medium weight polyester fabric that has some stretch to it. There is no size indicated, but it would best fit modern US women’s sizes 12-14. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

The polyester fabric is a deep navy blue with constrasting white trim at the neckline and armholes. A sweet white nautical anchor embroidered applique rests on the front center bust.

The tunic has a shift silhouette that is a little more fitted at the bust and flares out into a slight bell shape. The roomy shape of the dress and the adjustable tie belt make this garment very comfortable to wear. It closes up the back with a 18.5 inch zipper with hook and eye closure.

This piece has belt loops and comes with a detachable white belt. The belt is made up of tiny braided coils, and has fringed tassles on each end that pair perfectly with the sailor theme! This would be a great piece to wear for a day at the beach or out sailing the seas! It could even double as a costume piece for theater or Halloween!

This little number is in excellent vintage condition. There are no stains, tears, or piling, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
