Reserved-1930s Midnight Blue Velvet Floor Length Long Sleeved Robe size M

Be the epitome of style and elegance in this fantastic vintage robe!

This robe was Union Made in the USA by Steiger’s in Hartford, Connecticut. It is constructed from velvet with a silk lining. There is no size indicated, but it would best fit modern US women’s sizes 6-8. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

The silhouette of the robe is fitted throughout the bust, waist and hip, and falls straight down to the ankle. The robe closes with a single large fabric-covered button at the front waist. The collar closes with a hook/eye toggle and looks great worn both open and closed.

There are some exquisite construction details on this garment that give it a very regal Old Hollywood vibe. There is some thick roping details around the shoulder that gives a dramatic flare to the design, and rouching on the back of the sleeves as well.

The silk lining is a rich purple color and in very good shape. Please note that there is an area along the inside of the hem where the lining has separated from the velvet. It could easily be fixed with a little TLC, but could absolutely be worn as-is. It would look amazing paired with sleek trousers and a metallic top, a slip dress, or even just to wear around the house to feel fabulous!

Over all this garment is in really great vintage condition. There are no stains, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
