Shimmy and shake in this timeless little black cocktail dress!
This dress was made during the 1960s, emulating a dropwaist style that was very popular during the 1920s-1930s. The lovely tag reads “A Miss SunValley Original by Morris Watkin”. There is no size indicated, but it would best fit a modern US women’s size 8. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.
The dress is made from a black, non-stretch, lightweight rayon. A pretty rayon bow decorates the left shoulder. The dress is lined with silk and is fitted throughout the shoulders and bust. The silhouette falls straight down throughout the waist and hip. The loose, straight fit is very comfortable to wear and easy to move around in.
The garment closes up the back with a 20 inch zipper with hook/eye closure. Silk fringe trim hangs from the hem of the dress to show off movement and add a little shine and texture to the design. The dress looks great moving on the dance floor, but is sophisticated enough to wear to any dressy occasion!
Please note that there are a few tiny pucks in the fabric around the front waist/bust, but they are not very noticeable. Over all this dress is in very good vintage condition. There are no stains or rips, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
