1950s Coral Embroidered Floral A-Line Sleeveless Dirndl Dress with Fabric Toggles size 4/6

This lovely garment was made by “Tailored Junior” during the 1950s. It is marked as a vintage size 9, but would best fit modern US women’s sizes 4-6. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

The coral red fabric of this dress is absolutely stunning in person! The fabric is medium-weight with a slight sheen to it. There is an all-over embroidered floral design, and the fabric feels very nice and high quality to the touch.

The drape is also quite remarkable. The bust and waist area contains some beautiful construction details such as asymmetrical gathering, and some decorative swirly fabric toggles at the front/side waist. The dress is fitted throughout the bust and waist, and flares out to a full circle skirt. The photos show the dress with and without a petticoat underneath so you can see what it looks like with a little extra volume under the skirt. The petticoat is not included with the purchase of the dress.

The dress closes up the back with a 13 inch zipper and hook/eye closure. There is an extra 3 inches of seam allowance at the hem of the skirt, so it could be lengthened a bit if desired.

This dress is in EXCELLENT vintage condition. There are no stains, rips or piling, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment. The versatile color and classic silhouette would make it perfect for any season and any dress occasion!
