Sparkle under the spotlight in this fabulous vintage vest!
This garment was made in India during the 1990s by “Royal Feelings”. It is made of shiny black silk with a rayon lining. The tag is marked as a size extra large, it would best fit a man’s size Large, or modern women’s size XL. There is an adjustable strap in the back than can be used to make a tighter fit. Please see measurements below to guarantee a good fit.
The shimmering sequin front is the shining star of this piece! Vertical rows of sparkling gold sequins adorn the entire front of the vest. Gold glass tube beads border the neckline, hem, and armholes for added shine and texture.
The vest closes up the front center with six hook/eye closures. The back of the vest has a belted detail that allows you to tighten it at waist level.
Please note that there is an area at the top left shoulder that has lost a couple sequins (see close-up photos). There are so many sequins on this vest that this small area of wear is hardly noticeable. Over all this piece is in good vintage condition. There are no stains or rips, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
This vest would make an excellent costume piece for theater, Halloween, or a stage performance- it looks amazing under lights!
