Start your day in comfort and style with this timeless vintage dress!
This garment was handmade during the 1930s. It is constructed from a breathable lightweight cotton. There is no size indicated, but it would best fit modern women’s US sizes 8-10. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.
True to the construction of the times, this dress is sewn with a single line stitch, and there are no armhole seams. The non-stretch cotton fabric has a lovely small white floral print. The white sailor collar contrasts nicely against the black fabric, and makes this little black dress appropriate for warm weather seasons.
The dress has a loose fitting silhouette and closes up the front bodice with 5 white lucite buttons. The hemline lands about mid-calf, and there is a slit in the back of the skirt for easy movement. The short sleeves and drop style waistline give it the quintessential 1930s look, while the side hip pockets provide convenience and functionality! It would be perfectly wearable for daily life, or could make an excellent costume for theater or film!
Please note that there is a small yellow spot on the left back side of the collar (see close-up photos), this spot is smaller than a dime and is hardly noticeable in person. Over all this dress is in very good vintage condition. There are no holes or piling, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
