This piece was likely made during the 1980s. It is constructed from a silver-tone metal, felt, and a variety of mixed feathers.
The feathers on this pin have a wonderful mix of colors that will pair nicely with your outfit ensembles. You will find feathers that are green, blue, tan, brown, teal, black, brown, and white. The feathers are tucked into a silver-tone setting that has interesting cut-out design details at the base. Red felt peeks through the cut-outs for a striking contrast.
The back side of the brooch has a simple loop pin that secures nicely to heavy fabrics such as wool, tweed, denim, leather, or felt. It lies nice and flat when pinned against the body. The entire piece measures 4 inches long, by 1 inch wide.
Please note that the feathers show their age a bit, but it’s only noticeable if you look up close. Over all this item is in very good vintage condition. There is no tarnishing, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
