This lovely vintage dress has an elegance that is perfect for any dressy occasion!
This dress was made during the 1940s, and is constructed from a breathable lightweight non-stretch cotton fabric. There is no size indicated, but it would best fit modern women’s US sizes 6-8. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.
The beautiful print on this dress consists of pink, green, blue, and yellow flowers against a brown background. The fabric is sheer and may require a slip underneath (the model is not wearing a slip in the photos).
The silhouette is fitted throughout the bodice and hip, and flares out from mid-hip. The dress has some truly delightful design details, such as pleating at the waist and hip, and a pleated quilted design throughout the bust and shoulders. The dress closes up the front with 12 vibrant magenta-orange lucite buttons, and there is a hook/eye closure at the front waist. A detachable brown velvet belt draws attention to the smallest part of the natural waistline for a flattering fit.
Please note that there is some fading along the top of the shoulders, but it’s not all that noticeable when worn, especially if you wear your hair down. This condition issue has been considered upon pricing. Over all this garment is in good vintage condition and has a lot of life left to it! There are no holes or piling, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
