Early 1900s Romantic Edwardian Cotton Gauze Lace Dress with Handkerchief Hem size S

Get lost in the dreamy romance of this beautiful antique dress!

This dress was made by hand during the early 1900s. It is made of lightweight, non-stretch, cotton gauze and is very delicate and feminine. The pictures can’t do it justice, it is so lovely in person! There is no size indicated, but it would best fit modern women’s US sizes 2-4. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.

This Edwardian lace garment has some beautiful design details, such as pleating at the shoulders, ruffled trim along the neckline and sleeve cuffs, and an asymmetrical handkerchief hem that flows beautifully as you move about. This dress would make for a stunning bridal photo shoot or costume for TV and film!

The sheer white fabric is dotted throughout, and there are vertical lace lines along the skirt. The dress closes up the back and side skirt with a series of hook and eyes. A few of the hook and eyes could use some extra stitches for security.

Please note that there a couple of very small holes in the fabric, the most notable one being in the center back of the skirt (see close up photos) and the other is along the inside waistband where a tiny hook tore off. There are also some very slight areas of discoloration but they are hardly noticeable unless you look very close. Any yellowing seen in the photos is the gold bands on the mannequin. There is a small red stitch on the left shoulder that may hold some significance, but could easily be removed. The fabric is a nice bright white and overall this dress has held up well considering it’s age! The dress has been cleaned and is ready to wear, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.

Bodice length from center back neck to waist- 12 inches long.
Skirt length from waist to hem- 25 inches long (shortest part), 36 inches long (longest part).
