Sparkle and shine in this stunning sequined cocktail jacket!
This garment was made in Indian during the 1980s by “Scala”. It is made of non-stretch Silk fabric with a Rayon lining. It is marked as a size 1X, but would best fit modern US women’s sizes 12-14. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.
The jaw-dropping sequin harlequin pattern on this piece really shimmers in person, photos just can’t do it justice! The all-over pattern consists of blue, purple, gold, red, and black diamonds, with a black tube-bead border at the neckline, hem, button panel, and cuffs. The beading and sequins are in IMMACULATE shape! You may notice a couple of threads poking out here and there, but none of them are loose.
The slinky silk fabric of this garment has a lovely bias-cut drape that flatters the female form. The jacket closes up the front with 9 hook/eyes. It is more fitted at the bust and has sort of a trapeze-style silhouette that flares out. This piece would look great paired with sleek disco pants and platforms, or with a classic little black dress!
This item is in excellent vintage condition. There are no stains, holes, or missing beads, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
