The best way to turn that frown upside down- is with a clown!
This quirky little clown brooch was made during the 1970s by Gerry’s. It is made of cast metal with painted enamel.
The brooch has cutouts in the eyes and mouth so you can see through those areas, making a fun and striking way to play with contrast and color with your outfit!
The brooch has great texture, especially in the clown’s hair and collar. The black and red painted details would make this a wonderful addition to any circus themed costume!
The brooch measures 1.5 inches long, by 1.25 inches wide. The back side has a simple spring ring clasp, and it lies nice and flat against the body.
There are some minor signs of age, but they give this piece great vintage character! Over all it is in good vintage condition, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
