1980s Unicorn “I Love You” Velvet Painting with Roses in Teak Frame
What better way is there to say “I Love You” than with a velvet unicorn painting?
This magnificent piece of art was made in Mexico during the early 1980s. It is acrylic painted on velvet fabric, with a teak frame.
The image consists of two majestic unicorns and a cluster of whimsical red roses against a purple background, with the phrase “ I Love You” in swirly cursive writing at the top center of the painting. Please note that a bit of the wording has rubbed off, but it is still legible and could easily be touched up with a little more paint.
The painting is set in a landscape-oriented teak wood frame that has some cool cutout designs in it. The frame measures 22.5 inches wide, by 18.5 inches tall.
This would make a lovely housewarming or Valentines day gift, or a sweet addition to any boom boom room! It is in good condition, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
