Channel a bit of mid-century sophistication with this adorable cardigan!
This sweater was made during the 1950s by “Michelle, Baum Knitwear Co.”. It is made of 100% Turbo Orlon, which feels like angora or cashmere. There is no size indicated, but it would best fit modern women’s US sizes 2-4. Please see measurements below to guarantee fit.
This lovely little cardigan is a great staple piece for your wardrobe! Vertical rows of woven velvet and metallic silver ribbon trim borders the button panel and collar, and little sparkling clear rhinestones are sprinkled along the front shoulder and chest area. The sweater closes up the front with 9 black buttons. It has a banded waist and sleeve cuffs.
Please note some signs of age along the ribbon trim, but it’s not very noticeable unless you look up close (see close-up photos). The inside tag has also detached on one side, but nobody would ever see that and it could easily be fixed with a quick DIY stitch.
Over all this garment is in good vintage condition and has a lot of life left in it! There are no stains or rips, and it was stored in a smoke-free environment.
